Not really blogged for a while, on either blogs that I have.  My book that is in progress is currently sitting on my work's server so although I have been hit with a bit of inspiration, I will have to make do with blogging a bit of random crap!

Christmas was a bit hectic, as usual...and in true festivity style-ee I lost complete track of days and time and got drunk...that's what it's all about, isn't it?  I was quite sad with the weather just before Christmas as it looked as though I & G could not make it up from down the south of England to spend it up in Scotland with my family.  With mucho thanks to an Engineer from Birmingham (don't ask!) they managed to drive up on the 23rd.  Was ace to see with again and we had a good laugh with them.  Fortunately I was off work right through so I got to spend alot of time with them and the kids.  I went to my mother's on Christmas eve and didn't go back until the 27th...I was craving "me time" by then!  Unfortunately, it was a flying visit as I was travelling down to Penzance on the 28th!  Picture:  3 grown adults sharing a transit van for 10 hours!  Luckily I know I & G very well and so it wasn't awkward or anything!  Thank goodness.  We had made a pact to not eat any garlic or brocolli the night before!

New Year was spent in Penzance at a house party.  Was really civil and not too exciting, which suited me fine!
Went back to work last Tuesday and I think I need a holiday already!  You know when you've got soooo much to do but don't know where to start?  Well that was me last week!  It's half 11 on Sunday night right now and i'm already going through in my head what I need to do tomorrow - how sad is that!?

It is now Monday lunch time as I gave up on blogging last night after I got a little distracted by looking up Beyoncé's music videos on youtube.  Wow that girl can really sing and dance.  I just love to watch her perform - she just makes everything look so easy.  Bitch!  Haha!

This morning I have achieved the following:

Set up Tweetdeck.
Added Twitter to Tweetdeck.
Added Facebook to Tweetdeck.
Tweeted and FB'd about getting Tweetdeck.
Downloaded Opera.
Downloaded weather widget for Opera.
Set up speed dials for Opera.
Told R that it was -1 in the office and that snow was on it's way.
Little bit of Filing.
Emailed both mother and sister.
Typed one letter and had one admin meeting with R.

Frankly, I think I have achieved alot!

We have our Asda shopping coming tonight, woohoo!  We've gone all weekend with no food in the flat, so it will be good to finally have some stuff in, though having said that I made an awesome chicken curry with coconut and pineapple last night for us both.  I really do rock.

I had a major weekend of Gavin and Stacey.  I had never watched it before, however obtained all 3 series for Iz when I was in Penzance so thought I'd give it an episode to see what it was like and surprise surprise I was hooked!  Though now I keep getting little quips stuck in my head.  I absolutely love the Welsh accent and Ruth Jones, who played Nessa was just fabulous in it!  She co-wrote it along with James Cordon (the larger than life half of Horne & Cordon)  in G&S, instead of saying "oi!", she'd just say "Oh!" and she just makes it sound so funny!  She also said alot "what's ocurring?" and I said it today.  How weird, eh!?  I just loves it!

It's half 12 and i'm starting to think about what I want for lunch.  Can't decide between a subway and a baked potato.  Think the tattie will win, but who knows!  Haha!

Ok, randomness over for today, unless I can think of anything else!

actually, that's a complete lie...I do know lots of stuff.  I'm actually quite clever.  I mean, just today I explained to the girls at work what a Banana Hammock is.

Last weekend was my flat warming.  It got quite messy and I wasn't worth much on Sunday.  Or Monday.  Or in fact the whole week.  It's Thursday now and i'm still yawning away at my desk.  I've managed to get tomorrow off work, so at least I'll get some kind of lie in.  I just can't hack it anymore!  Good weekend though!

I don't really have that much to blog about today, not much is happening at work.  The singing man has been MIA for about 3 days now.  It's not a nice feeling and it's bringing us all down a bit!

If I can think of anything else I'll blog again.

The past couple of weeks have been weird and mucho has happened!

Firstly, an update on the wee singing man outside my work.  He has now learnt himself a new song - it's now (yes, i'm not predictable)...Where the Streets Have No Name, by yes, U2.  I think he has an obsession!  What we've also noticed is that he needs no music to walk along the street singing loudly!  Yesterday he was shouting the line "I go there with yooooouuuuu" as he walked past my window and had no mp3 player.

Nostalgia moment:  I don't know about you, but when I was growing up Santa used to come round the streets in my town on a big sleigh towed by a 4x4 (not quite Rudolph, is it!?) and would ring his bell and wave to all the children.  His slaves, erm...I mean elves, would go round everyone's door at the same time collecting money for a charity, etc.  (I hear you wondering where this story is going!) Well you would hear the Christmas music blaring from the 4x4 and the ringing of Santa's bell long before you saw him and you would get that excited feeling in the pit of your tummy, then it would get louder and louder and then, just when you thought you would burst from excitement - you're jumping up and down on the furniture, in and out of the front door and causing your 'rents to have that smile on their face (you know what i'm talking about!) - he would come into sight and you would be so happy......well........that's what its like with the wee singing man!  There's a build up as you can hear him well before you see him.  I'll maybe see if I can capture the moment for you all next time!

Sooo...I was out with the girls last Saturday in my home town.  Started out with a little Singstar, which just rawks(!) and by 1130ish we headed on down to our local.  To get to our local we have to walk through the Public Park, which is all uneven and the street lights rarely work.  Well, with the winds being so bad, a huge tree has been uprooted from alongside the path and has broken all the tarmac.  As the 3 of us were walking along, and I must stress that I had had a drink but was in no way wasted AND was wearing flat shoes, I went right over on my right ankle (which had been weakened by strained legiments when I was younger) and hit the deck.  At first I was concerned that I had done my ankle in and although it was sore it was quickly becoming apparent that my knee had taken most of the fall.  Luckily I hadn't gone through my jeans, and it was dark so I did not see the extent of the damage straight away.  When we got to the pub, R took me to the toilet as it was really sore.  The blood was trickling down my leg and we had to clean it so instead of using water like a normal person, she whipped out her anti-bacterial hand lotion and squirted it into the wound - ouch is an understatement.  Luckily the adrenaline and alcohol was still pumping so didn't really feel the full affect of pain.  THEN, on the way home...on the same bit of path, I again went over on my ankle and made the already wounded knee even worse!

This is what I woke up to on Sunday morning:

As you can see, not only is my knee all hacked up, I also have a very predominant bruise on my left hand, and my ankle is swollen.  After I cleaned it up, it looked like this:

A nice big chunk out of my knee!  And now, a week and a bit later it looks like this:

Nice, eh!  I'm sure you're all happy to see my war wounds!

My window is at street level and usually it's quite a boring view of the street outside. Occasionally we have excitement. The other day there was a entourage of posh 4x4's with a police escort coming out of the huge 5* hotel next door to us. We sometimes have the mounted police come by on their beautiful horses (which are massive by the way!). BUT the créme de la créme has to be our little musician. He walks past my window every day singing at the top of his lungs. Unfortunately he cannot sing very well, only has one song in his repertoire and only seems to know the words to the chorus! We can usually hear him before we see him. His song of choice is...yep, you've guessed it, With or Without You by U2. He's pure class and brightens up our office every day!

On an extra plus side....I've booked my ticket for Frenzy! Woot woot! I'm not going to go into detail about it again - look at previous blog for details.

I went to a family haloween party on Saturday night. It was actually more of a birthday party, but they made it fancy dress. It was actually a really good night! Apart from my drunken mother and step-father, who got drunk extremely fast and were EXTREMELY embarrasing! Can't have it all, eh!? I then had a traumatic journey home where I came across a lady who was a bit lost and distressed and in the end I had to call the police as she had no idea how she had gotten there, where she'd been, etc and her trousers were undone. But worrying and it was in the bad part of Edinburgh so had to take no chances! Got home an hour later after having to give a statement, etc. FUN and GAMES!!

Actually, never a dull moment in my life. This morning a guy on my bus started shouting at someone down his phone telling the poor guy that he was going to "split your f***ing face open you f***ing Pr**k!" I do think he was on something as he was stottering about all over the place. Unfortunately he was standing right in front of me so I was a bit nervous that he was going to turn around and give all us bus-goers an example of his threats and use me as his guinea pig. To the rescue came the bus driver who politely asked him to stop swearing and to lower his voice. Unfortunately the bus driver was Asian and the man with anger issues was a bit of an -ist so turned on the bus driver. It was extremely intense! So the man with apparent issues got off the bus, but then decided that he wasn't happy so tried to get back on the bus to have an encounter with the bus driver. Luckily the traffic lights changed and we got away, but wow kudos to my lovely bus driver for being brave - nobody else on the bus was saying anything!!

Whilst we're on the subject of buses, I got extremely bored the other day when I was on a particularly long bus journey that I started making a swan out of my bus ticket. Check out my creativity!!

I've booked my ticket to see New Moon on the 20th. Soooo excited!
